Yesterday, I had a last minute surprise turn into a true blessing. Our wonderful Kid’s Cove Leader, Nancy Johnson, who oversees the children’s ministry and leads the elementary aged kids during every Sunday service, was sick on Sunday. She came, prepared to lead, but she had a head-splitting migraine. So I offered to play substitute for Nancy on Sunday morning leading the elementary kids (or “Friendship Beach” as we call it). Now, to be honest, I love teaching and minsitering to adults more than anything in the world . . . I think God has really called me to adult ministry, and I love it. But I’m telling you, last Sunday morning with those elementary kids was the highlight of my week. I had a blast! The kids had fun. Now, I’m kind of looking forward to an opportunity when I can get back in Kid’s Cove and lead a kid’s class again!
